Scott and I have had quite the busy fall. Between traveling to see family and friends, preparing for a baby, working, and dissertating we've kept quite busy, but we had to take time out for a little bit...or a lot really...of fun.
One Saturday in October we decided to take a road trip to Marble Falls (one of my last road trips for a while). We went to Sweetberry Farms where we had the best strawberry lemonade I have ever tasted, checked out their huge variety of pumpkins, and made our own life size (and a bit creepy) scarecrow. We can't wait to get to take the baby there next year!
On Halloween we hosted a party for our Young Pros group at church. It was a ton of fun and we had some great costumes come through our door. At 8 months pregnant I was feeling a bit huge (little did I know that I was still small then) so I painted a basketball on a t-shirt where my belly is and made myself an Aggie Basketball jersey. I attempted to wear my old pre-pregnancy wind pants, but needless to say they didn't last very long. Scott went as a referee! It was a ton of fun, but I can't wait for next year to dress up and take our little man trick-or-treating.
Earlier in October...on the 10th to be precise...Scott and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary. He surprised me with a beautiful and delicious catered dinner in our home.
Our caterers...yes they are as young as they look, but they sure knew their way around a kitchen!
