Leo's 1st Easter

The Easter weekend was an eventful one this year. Good Friday was spent in anxiety and then relief as I defended my dissertation that day (see previous post). Saturday morning, Scott, Leo and I loaded up the car and drove to my parent's property in Caldwell. This was Leo's first visit and I think he enjoyed himself...he loves being outside! We rode the 4-wheeler and gator, went fishing, flew kites, played with confetti eggs, grilled delicious hamburgers, and made s'mores. It was a fun day with my parents and Bryan and Lisa and crew.

That evening we drove to my parents' house in Baytown and went to church with the entire family Sunday morning. It is always entertaining to have 6 adults, a 7, 5, 2, and 4 month old in one row! Needless to say it was far from quiet, though that didn't stop Leo from taking a mid-service nap. After church we returned to my parents for a round of picture taking, yummy lunch, bunny cake, Easter egg hunting, and tree swinging.

On Monday, Scott, Leo and I went in to Spring to stay with Bryan, Lisa, Callie, Jack, and Macie. We enjoyed spending time with them, going to the kids baseball/softball games, and on Tuesday going to eat lunch at school with Callie and Jack. While we were completely exhausted upon our return to Austin Tuesday afternoon we had a fantastic time.
