April wore me out...

The month of April was outstandingly exhausting, but equally fun!  We spent the better part of April traveling to and from Texas.  Thankfully, Leo is quite the experienced traveler and tolerates the car quite well, although after 6 hours in the car even I get a bit antsy.
Our first trip was to Scott's parents' house in Fort Worth for Easter and to celebrate Scott's Granny's 90th birthday!  We had a great time catching up with family, watching Leo play with his cousins, aunts/uncles, and grandparents as well as extended family that we rarely get to see.  Easter was very fun watching Leo play with his Easter surprises and plastic eggs, which he relentlessly tried to cram into his mouth.  It seems like just yesterday that I wrote this post and now our little man is on the move and picking up and opening his own Easter eggs!

My sweet Easter Boy in his Sunday best!

 That's my boy...

Fell asleep during church, but still held on to his basket.

The next weekend, we took a fun-filled trip to Austin.  We were anxious to return and catch-up with old friends and make some new ones!  We had a great time seeing Scott's best friend/best man Dathan and his wife, Marie, and my friend, Tracy.  We got to see Jason and Candace's new sweet daughter, Harper, as well.  In addition to all of the fun we were having we got to attend my college roommate/best friend, Christi's son's 1st birthday party.  Michael and Leo were so cute together and we know they, along with Alicia's son, Ford, are going to be awesome friends and Aggie roommates just like their mamas were!  What a fun weekend we had in Austin!

Our last trip was to Spring and College Station.  We were able to leave on Thursday, drive to Fort Worth, sleep at Scott's parents' house, and then get up in drive in to Spring Friday morning.  It was such a blessing to break up this 8 hour trip into two manageable chunks.  While in Spring on Friday we were able to celebrate Macie's 3rd birthday party with a princess extravaganza!  We then drove, Friday night, to Caldwell where we slept at my parent's trailer on their property.  We woke with the birds and Leo loved getting to spend time with his Grammy and Papa and the cows!  The rest of the weekend was spent traveling between Caldwell and College Station as we attended the Aggies for Christ 40 year Reunion.  It was so much fun getting to catch up with old friends and introduce them to Scott and Leo.  I took Scott to his 1st Aggie Muster and Aggies for Christ Devo and I think he loved both...I do believe we have officially brain-washed converted him!  On Sunday, we were able to worship with our fellow Ags at A&M Church of Christ which brought back so many wonderful memories!  After, we had to put the rubber to the road for one last trek to Oklahoma.

While we had a wonderful month, April, just about did us and our car tires in.  We added it up and believe we logged approximately 2200 miles in three weekends...April wore me out!

Yeah, that's a FULL month of traveling! But I'm so thankful you took the trip to Austin and we got to spend some time with y'all! Great pics - love the one of Leo dressed up for church Easter morning, and the one of our guys playing in the tent :)
